If you have half an hour to spare and want to be seriously inspired, have a look at this film of a talk by Jia Jiang, and his journey after discovering Rejection Therapy.
Jia Jiang’s story really got me thinking about how we all engage in safety behaviours that potentially keep us locked into a limited way of life. How exciting would life be if we chose to take a risk and aim for rejection? Have a think about it for a moment. How would things be different at work, in your relationships, in your personal achievements? You only have the potential for finding a Yes in life if you are willing to embrace the Nos that might also come your way. Most people would balk at the idea for being too scary or difficult. But would it be, really? Only if we tell ourselves it is.
I recently wrote a piece on this idea for the Huffington Post. You can read it by clicking on the link here. Do let me know what you think. If you were to embrace rejection, what would you do?
